Vedette Shape Wear Review/Giveaway 5 winners!
About the item I received
So I received the corset and being they over excited woman I am I had to put it on right away, the first thing I noticed, was I really needed to lose weight. I picked out the size based on my weight and height as the site showed, I was on the heavier side of that size and it showed, it was tight, not uncomfy tight but tight non-the-less. I put on one of my tighter shirts which I will admit I had not worn in a while due to it showing off the bad buldge, and wow the difference, it was defiantly noticeable whats more is I noticed I was standing straighter. I am horrid as slouching, but I felt like a ballerina with the corset on, my back was straighter, I was standing taller, and my gut was sucked in. I decided to take it out on a test run and we went out to starbucks, I ran into a friend and she actually asked me what diet I was on cause I looked like I had lost weight. I did notice I had to adjust how I set, I generally tuck my feet side ways and lean into the arm of the chair slouching slightly with my computer on my lap. With the corset I was sitting straighter and even after sitting there for 5 hours I did not feel like my ribs were pushed into each other like they normally do. My only complaint was that the corset would bunch up every once in a while and the ribbing on the back would push into my back which was slightly uncomfortably, this could have been easily fixed has a had a way to clip the corset to my underwear, but I didn't so I just pulled it down. It was defiantly not a huge deal.

The site is really nice and well layed out, what I love is on the front page they have some great product search feature. You can search by compression, category, size and color. Even cooler than that you can search by your problem area how neat is that?
They have a great selection of items and the styles are fabulous. When shopping make sure to look at the size guide it is pretty easy to read and you can find it by the drop down window under size selection. They have waist cinchers, full body shapers, body suits, derrière enhancers, compression bras, shape wear with bras, and even items for people who have had surgery.
Their customer service is very nice too, very polite, and helpful, they made me feel like I was a VIP customer unlike some companies which make me feel like they would rather I had never contacted them.
About the company

In that span of time, we did a lot of research and innovation to improve our products. Part of it is a material we use with our shapewear, the advance hevea.

New Widget to help you find giveaways!

Golden Eel- A Review and Giveaway (with 2 winners!)
I was given the opportunity to get and review a shirt of my choice from GoldenEel.com and today I received my shirt and its awesome! Golden Eel has a fun variety of shirts, journal, ipad and ipod cases, other knick knacks, and for you Dexter fans they have Dexter gear.
So I emailed Golden Eel and was very excited when they offered to let me review something from the store, in honor of Saint Patricks day, and in honor of my Scottish heritage, I selected this awesome blood splatter shamrock shirt.
About the shirt I got
I was advised the with it being fitted to get a size bigger, I will advise you when you shop there defiantly go a size bigger, I normally wear a large, and expected the xl to be roomy, it fits me perfectly. Im not complaining by any means the fabric is awesome and fits me nicely, just go a size up for any of the fitted shirts.
I got an email from the company on the 7th letting me know that my shirt was shipped, now I expected I would get it next week, but I was defiantly surprised 2 days later there it was in my mailbox, along with a receipt thanking me for reviewing and a nice card with advice for keeping my shirt looking its best after washing (cold water for darks, which I advise cold water for anything.)
The first thing I noticed as I mentioned before is the shirt does run small, the second was that while it runs small it is rather slimming. Seriously I dont know if its the color or the fabric but for a shirt it shows the right curves, and Im curvey that can be um.. complicated lol. Anyway I also noticed that the fabric is thin, not cheap then, but breathable good quality thin. On there site they have a meter on each shirt showing you how thin it is, this makes it a great shirt for the upcoming spring/summer days.
I really like the design on it the reds are a nice rich red not a faded red, and the design is true to picture, there is a slight outline on the design when you first get it but as the card that came with them says these disappear after the first wash.
About the Site
The site is easy to navigate, and has some great features for buyers. As I said before it has a meter on the site that shows you how thick the shirt is it also, allows you to see a pic of the shirt in every color they offer simply by clicking on the color, this really helped me decide which color to get. They are also very clear on what the shirt is made of. The customer service is great, and if there is any problem dont worry they have a 30 day money back gaurentee but I doubt you'll want to return the product.
About the company
Claudia Peña-Martinez moved from Larendo, TX to San Antonio, TX in 2001 pursuing an art degree. She graduated from UTSA in 2003 with a Bachlors of Fine Arts Degree. A year later, Golden Eel was born, as an avenue to promote her art and photography. However, her graphic design tees seemed to be more popular, especially during Halloween and Christmas. So, for the last two years she has been focusing more on creating fun and unique graphic designs that are great for people of all ages. Claudia gets her inspiration from a variety of influences such as, music, magazines, watching t.v., and movies. She sometimes even gets inspired while shopping at the grocery store. So when an idea pops up, she writes it down or sketches it out. Then a new design is born. Currently, GoldenEel.com is only a Web Based company, but hopes to open a local store in the near future.
